Rolling Hills is a family-led winery that is the continuation of a wine-growing hobby that begun in the late 1960s by Lori’s beloved grandfather,

Clarence Mattox.

His friends called him 'Matty'.

Matty's small vineyard, located in the fertile soils of California’s San Joaquin Valley, was the place where fond memories were made & long-held dreams took root. Lori spent many hours riding the tractor on her papas’ lap, disking the vineyard rows together & learning the hard work of farming.

After relocating to Idaho with her family in 2003, Lori’s dream took shape with fresh inspiration in the form of her children & her husband, Mark Pasculli’s, Italian & Spanish heritage. Lori & Mark bought a neglected Cabernet Franc vineyard in Idaho’s vast Snake River Valley AVA in 2016. They spent years revitalizing & enriching the vineyard’s soil & began caring for the land in a more sustainable way.

Today, our land produces gold, award-winning wine & is the anchor of the family’s burgeoning wine business.

Rolling Hills Vineyard is a true family effort, with Mark & Lori overseeing all winemaking decisions & youngest son Zachary running day to day operations alongside our tasting room manager Karly.

We truly hope you enjoy our wines as much as Matty enjoyed making his.
